Cherry Tomatoes
The regular tomato plants aren't doing ANYTHING this year, but at least we'll have cherry tomatoes!

Yellow Daisy
These beautiful yellow flowers came from my neighbor, Judy, last year. They are one of my favorites.

Rock Garden
You're seeing lots of the flowers in the rock garden because it's the only garden still in the sun when I get all my chores done.

Garden Tour
Today was Garden Tour day and we were at (in my opinion) the most beautiful garden in the Coeur d'Alene area. And even though I took my camera with me, we were so busy that I didn't take a single picture while we were there. Not one.
So you get this one, from my garden, taken after we got home.

Dragonfly!
I finally got my dragonfly photo! I've been wanting one forever.
Yesterday, our photo walk at Turnbull Wildlife Refuge, was amazing. The sky as the sun rose in the early morning (I was up at 4:30 - [grumble]) was breathtaking, and the rest of the morning was every bit as good.
We saw a yearling moose, although I didn't get any good photos - he was just too far away. But I did get photos of dragonflies & bees, and a dove that let us walk right up, close enough to touch, before she flew away. And of course LOTS of photos of the wildflowers. Click on the dragonfly photo to go to my photostream on Flickr and see all the pictures.

A herd
(even though you can only see one)
A knot of toads...
(that's really what you call a group of toads -
I looked it up!)

which is Sunday.
Got to have lots of cute little critters.
Got to have lots of cute little critters.
And we're leaving tomorrow at the crack of dawn
for a photowalk with my camera club, so these get posted early.
And I do mean CRACK of dawn. My alarm is set for 4:30a.m.

Or not...
No 4th of July images to share this year.
I took my point and shoot to the parade, then didn't take a single photo.
And we didn't go to the lake for fireworks.
The animals were freaking out about the illegal fireworks
going off all around our house, so we opted to stay home.
I still can't believe what a weird weather year we're having.
Kota & Nicole came for a BBQ in the afternoon.
Kota likes grapes. :-)
Happy Birthday, Danny!

Happy Fourth of July, Everyone!
Since I started the last Project 365, I've been posting my photos early in the morning. This means today's photo was taken yesterday. Which works well, until we have a day like today. :-) We're going to the parade and then fireworks tonight, so TOMORROW's photo will have an Independence Day theme. What can I say? The best laid plans and all.
Enjoy your 4th of July! I know I'm going to.

Keys of Heaven
It rained all day - and then the sun came out just so I could get a photo.

Pink & White
First, I would like to know what is making the pin sized holes in my dianthus.
Second, I cannot believe it's July and we've spent so little (read: none) time in our yard.

Bagels and ...
This sign has been up on my way to and from work for a couple of weeks. It makes me laugh every time I see it. And after this long, I'm starting to wonder if the misspelling was on purpose.
Happy Birthday, Dad! He would have been 99 today.
