Panning
I did a series of these shots just after I got home from work. I wanted to be outside because the sun was shining and I wanted to shoot something moving. The street out front provided ample opportunity.
This is not the best shot of the bunch - I got some where the vehicle was much clearer. But I liked this one best because the tires look like Slinkys. Remember Slinkys?

Winding Road
We have had a very unspringlike start to our spring. We've had snow, mixed snow & rain and hail. We've had below-normal temperatures and grey, dismal skies.
So yesterday, when the clouds parted and the sun shone through, just as I was leaving work, I decided to stop & get Scott and go for a drive. I just wanted to find something (anything!) pretty to shoot. I found it.
We drove west, then north, on a road that was paved at first, then dirt. And ended up here. I wanted to drive down that road, even in my little sports car that's not meant for off-road driving. While we were parked, we even saw a hawk. The stands of trees were everywhere, standing sentry in their perfect rows. We never did figure out what they were for. I don't suppose it even matters.

Celtic S Tattoo
It's not easy to take a photo of your own ankle.
I got this tattoo in August of 2006. It marked the end of one journey and the beginning of another. The celtic knot inside the S reminds me of where I came from and where I'm going.

Perigee Moon
My shot of the super moon. Because of clouds, I couldn't see it rise - so this is from 5am. It was foggy out - the photo is less sharp than I would like.

Snow Angel
This is what spring looks like in the Inland Northwest. After a couple of days of warmer, drier weather, we woke up to this.
I took a couple photos of the snow on the antenna ball. I picked this one for the post of the day because of the snow angel flying above the ball. Can you see it?

Buds...
... on Sideshow Bob! I think this means he survived being ripped out of his planter and planted in the ground, and the wicked winter we just had. I'm so happy.

Signs of Spring
I took a walk through the yard when I got home from work yesterday. There are definetly signs of spring, from these tulips to daffodils to poppies and other plants - all beginning to poke their heads out of the ground. I can't wait.

Garden Gnome
Happy St. Patricks Day!
Ok, it's not a leprechaun, but I was still pretty excited to see this little guy at the local garden shop. It means spring can't be too far behind.

Riverfront Park
Did I say there would be a big announcement today? Well, I lied. :-) It happens today, but the announcement will be tomorrow, when I actually have some photos to show you.

Spokane River
I am half-way through a Weekend Photography Workshop, taught by Rocky Mountain School of Photography and I can't say enough good things about this workshop! The teachers are excellent and the way they present the information is top-notch. I sent Scott a text message after the first class (2 hours) and told him it was already worth the price of tuition. The photo above was taken in manual mode, something I haven't ventured into much because I just felt so uncomfortable. I can't believe how much that's changed in just 8 hours...

Thin Ice
Yesterday was a very busy day. I snapped this photo when we got home from running and it's the only photo I took all day. The focus is awful, which I didn't realize until I was processing it. Oh well. Maybe I'll do better today. The next two days will be spent at a Rocky Mountain School of Photography Weekend Workshop in Spokane.
Then on Monday, I'll have a big announcement. Stay tuned.

For a girl who doesn't like "stuff" in her hair, I sure buy a lot of it...

Starlight Mints
They were my mom's favorite. She always had a couple in the pockets of her coat and in her purse.

The Storm
I walked outside at lunch yesterday to take some photos. The storm was coming from the south - you could see it was raining or snowing over in that direction. And this was overhead.

Pinecones
We did see an amazing sunrise (for the second day in a row) and while running, I spotted pinecones in the trees. At the time, they were dusted with snow and looked so pretty.
I went back later in the day to get some photos. The snow was gone, but the pinecones were just as pretty.
