I'm finally caught up from the road trip photos. This wildflower was planted last year in my yard - this is the first year it's bloomed. Nice shot for the last day of June.
I'm posting from Flickr because the Blogger software isn't working. It won't let me upload any photos. I had several from Craters of the Moon, but thanks to Blogger, you only got to see one.

Bowl of Color
The scene when we returned home. Thanks, Nicole, for taking care of my plants while I was gone!

Bitterroot River, Montana
Just a small sample of the beautiful scenes along our way home up US 93 through Idaho and then Montana.

Craters of the Moon
We spent some time at Craters of the Moon. The landscape pictures don't do justice to the desolation. The volcanic rock is amazing. I got several pictures like this one of the lichen on the rocks.
It was supposed to be a "little detour" on our way home. It turned into over a day delay, but that was ok. I got to see some fabulous scenery.

Adam's Ink
A single example of the gallons of ink that have been spent memorializing Steven.

Steven's Memorial
Today we had Steven's Memorial and scattered his ashes in the river. It was hard, it was really sad, and I'm so glad I came. He was surrounded by friends and family that loved him. And what a perfect, beautiful place to do it.

Sunset over Rockport Reservoir, Utah
I'm back in town, but it's going to take a couple of days to get caught up. This is the scene Wednesday night after we made camp.
