Eagles at Lake Coeur d'Alene

We waited until really late in the cycle this year to see the eagles.

The second week in December, there were record numbers.

Not true yesterday, but we did see a few.

The lake was beautiful, even if it was only 17 degrees.

We were over half-way around before I got this shot of one with a fish.

This guy was hanging out on the back side of Higgins Point.
All in all, it was a beautiful day
and any day I can watch the eagles is a good one.
I think the cold was messing with the auto-focus on my camera,
as I had some issues, but I really can't complain.

Great way to start the new year.
