The eagles are back at Lake Coeur d'Alene ~ well, at least a few of them are. They are still really skittish. It didn't matter how quiet we were, they weren't letting us get very close. The photo isn't great, but the fact that the eagles are back is.

Nifty Fifty

Today I finally ordered a "nifty fifty" lens for my camera:  a 50mm f/1.8 lens.  I am really excited to get it and put it to use during the Thanksgiving weekend.  And, in honor of that purchase, (it took me months to decide), all the photos today were taken at 50mm.  Enjoy!

I was able to catch it because I've been home, laid out with a sinus infection for most of three days. By this afternoon, I finally felt like maybe I was getting better. I certainly hope so. I'm getting sick of my room. And I have a 5K to run on Saturday.

This little grove of trees stands at the north end of our parking lot. Notice how the shadow has already started to be visible at the bottom of the trees. That's the sun already setting just after 5pm. And this is still the week before the Daylight Savings Time change.

Taking a photo a day is about to get really hard for the next couple of months.
