Extension Tubes 87:365

My latest toy arrived today.  Now something in my yard needs to bloom!

Beauty in the Debris 86:365

I really need to do some yard work.  Seriously.

Great Blue Heron 85:365

My first shot of a great blue heron!  I am so excited.  Thanks to Nancy, it was just part of a very exciting time at Hauser Lake.  Thanks for the tip, Nancy!  We saw Tundra Swan, ducks, and geese, as well as some amazing scenery.  Check out my Hauser Lake Flickr set for more shots.  Enjoy!

Not What They Seemed 84:365

From across the parking lot, they looked like tiny red leaves, just beginning to show.  I grabbed my camera out of my car & walked towards them.  I was a little disappointed to see they were just leftover berries from last year.  The buds on this tree are still weeks away from leaves.  At least the color of the berries against the blue sky was pretty.

Remembered Tree 83:365

It looks like a reflection.  Or is it a dream?

Afternoon Squall 82:365

The rest of the day was beautiful, with blue skies, even if the wind was a little brisk.  But this started the precise moment we put on our running shoes to do our long run.  I'd like to say we braved the elements and ran anyway, but we didn't.  We changed into comfortable clothes and curled up on the couch to watch a movie.

Tiny Growing Things 81:365

Everywhere you look, things are growing towards the light...

Mediterranean Salad 80:365

One of the best things about Thursday nights:  Pizza and this.

Spring Storm 79:365

What a wild weather day!  We had black clouds, thunder, lightning, strong winds, hail, snow, rain...  This is a shot of the aftermath.

Rock Collection 78:365

A very tiny portion of the rocks we've collected during our travels.  I'm lucky I married a fellow rock hound.

Missed Opportunity 77:365

This is what my kitchen window looks like when I've missed another gorgeous sunset photo opportunity.  Sad.

Tree Reflections 76:365

Cold and blustery day.  Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Spring Sheep 75:365

He's in need of a haircut.  Spring is coming...

Storm's Coming 74:365

I watched it roll in this afternoon.  No more 60 degree days for a while.

Francis, the Protector 73:365

He sits above me, on a shelf, watching my back at work.  I feel better already.

First Flowers 72:365

They look like they're lit from within...

Spring Lichen 71:365

I love springtime.  There is color everywhere you look.

Chili & Cornbread 70:365

Great running food.

Happy Birthday, Clinton Dale Stamper!

Still Life 69:365

Nectarines and bananas and mandarins, oh my!

Lake CDA Sunset Panorama 68:365

We drove out to Lake Coeur d'Alene last night, found a quiet spot & took some photos.  This was one of my favorites.  Nice way to spend Saturday night, even if we didn't get one of our spectacular sunsets.

Berries in Moss 67:365

I am so glad I stopped and took this picture when I did.  I was on my way in to work, it was early morning and very foggy.  The light was perfect and the colors were glorious.  Later, when the sun came out, it would have been a very different picture.

Hayden Lake Panorama 66:365

The sky was so pretty, I drove to the lake after work to get some shots.  This panorama is made up of three portrait shots and was hand-held.  I'd like to go back & shoot a full panorama from the middle of the beach.  I think that one will be tripod assisted.

The Vast Empire At Night 65:365

It's dark - just like my mood today.

This is one of my first attempts at night photography.  It definitely has potential.

Neela Jo 64:365

One of the three reasons I love being a grandma.

Still Snow 63:365

There is still snow on Rathdrum Mountain.  An important thing for me to remember, in case I thought it was spring.

Sky on Fire 62:365

After a morning spent cleaning house, and an afternoon with my daughter, doing her taxes, this was my reward.  It was totally worth it.

Kiwis & Cuties 61:365

Another near-miss.  Taken with my camera phone in the middle of the night, just to save the streak.

After-Dinner Chocolates 60:365

We went out to dinner to celebrate the end of the week.  We stopped at the store & discovered the Easter candy is out in full force.  There were chocolates & black jelly beans.  Perfect Friday night.

In the Rearview 59:365

Lots of things in the rearview today:  Last day of February, last day of training, last day with my safety net...  It's scary to think about the changes coming - even so, I'm glad some things are behind me.

Greeting the Day 58:365

The sunrise was beautiful during our run.  Too bad all of the pink had disappeared by the time I got this shot.  It was still a gorgeous morning to be outside.
